I am organising a trip to Romsey, an historic trip to visit the fascinating Victorian Signal Box Museum and the ancient King John's House. Only £26 excluding lunch.
We start in the morning at the Victorian Signal box where you can experience the day in the life of a Signalman before modern technology made it boring. The volunteers are so enthusiastic and ensure everyone can have a go if you want to. You wont get dirty hands and they even make tea/coffee plus biscuits for you. This is followed by a 10 minute walk to the second part of the days visit.
Lunch can be taken at King John's lovely cafe or elsewhere in the town centre.
After lunch we will be given a guided tour and talk at King John's House which is part Medieval, part Tudor and part Victorian. Although it suffered a fire last year we can still see much of it, hear the history and be shown the conservation work currently taking place.
Numbers are limited so sign up fast.
